The occasion was graced by the secretary of the Munster Council Mr. Pat Fitzgerald and the chairman of the city Board Mr.Paddy Verden. Fr Pat Hogan was a guest of the night. On the night John Loftus recalled the actions of each of the gallant heroes of the 1989 team. Players, subs and the panel members were presented with a momento of the occasion.
